'Boo
200SX' Nissan 200SX RS13 CA18DET

'Boo
200SX' belongs to DJ_sx13 and 200 Boo from the 200SX Owners club.
I'll
leave it to Dan to give you a bit of history on the car :
"Although
the bodywork was in great condition, when we bought this facelift 200SX in March 2005 we knew the engine was in desperate need of
attention. We took it straight to PTS to have a cambelt change and the
noisy tappets fixed, and whilst there learned the potential that a well
sorted CA18 engine has.
Within six months Boo's 200 was back in again for a full engine rebuild.
This entailed a re-bore, a reground crank and new pistons and rods. Along
with a new clutch and lightened flywheel the whole engine assembly was
sent off to be properly rotationally balanced. This allows the engine to rev
freely at high revs, and with the addition of a metal head gasket the
internals should now easily cope with 400bhp!
For now though, aside from a new T28R ball bearing turbo and the
obligatory cone air filter and 3" stainless exhaust the rest of the
engine bay is pretty standard. It won't be long though before the engine
bay sees the benefit of some further PTS work and power levels are dramatically increased... Stay tuned!"
